Research Focus

At FIRM my research is focused on the effects of electrical stimulation on chondrogenic differentiation of rat mesenchyme stem cells (MSC) in a platelet rich plasma (PRP)-derived scaffold.

Experience & Interests

Medical Interests

My special interest is focused on stem cells and regenerative medicine. My previous experience in tissue engineering involved studying characterization and chondrogenic differentiation of human dental pulp derived MSC in a 3D model system. Furthermore, I worked with mouse embryonic stem cells to generate beating cardiomyocytes. Working at FIRM is now giving me the opportunity to enhance my competences in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

Other Interests

Books, piano, cocktails, hiking, sailing, traveling.
